Site Information
About This Site
This page exists because the rest of the site makes real claims, medical, legal, financial, about high-stakes situations, and you should be able to tell exactly who's behind that and how it was actually made before you rely on it.
Who built this
This is one household's own project, not a nonprofit, government agency, or publisher. PB&J Prep started as one family's real Northern Utah / Wasatch Front preparedness plan, written up as a manual, and grew from there into a full guide: a companion manual for the first hours and days of an emergency, a second companion manual for long-term community survival, deep-dive skill curricula, and state-specific coverage for all 50 states. You can follow the actual household working through it on YouTube and Instagram.
How this content is actually made
Most of the writing on this site is drafted with AI assistance, working from real, cited sources, government agencies, standards bodies, peer-reviewed research, and documented real-world practice, not invented from scratch. The site owner directs what gets covered, reviews what gets published, and decides where the site's own judgment calls land (which legal structure to describe, which practice to recommend). That's a real, workable process for building something at this scale. It is not the same thing as a licensed physician reviewing the medical content, a licensed attorney reviewing the legal content, or an editorial board fact-checking every page after publication, and no page on this site claims otherwise.
What "verified" means here, and what it doesn't
Where you see a claim that it's sourced or verified, it means the specific fact was checked against a real, cited source at the time that page was written, and the source is listed at the bottom of the page for you to check yourself. It doesn't mean the claim has been reviewed by a professional licensed in that field, and it doesn't mean the page has been re-checked since it was published. State laws, statistics, and even organizational names and URLs drift over time; a page written today can be accurate today and wrong in a year. Treat every citation as a real, checkable starting point, not a permanent guarantee, and always verify anything safety-critical against a current primary source before actually relying on it.
This isn't a substitute for professional advice or training
Nothing on this site, including the medical reference material, the legal and firearms-law summaries, the financial guidance, or the security and self-defense content, is a substitute for actual training, a licensed professional's advice, or your own reading of the primary law or standard for your specific situation. Where the site says to consult an attorney, a doctor, or another qualified professional before acting, that's not boilerplate, it's the actual, honest limit of what a website can responsibly tell you.
